Group travel insurance covers multiple travellers on a single policy instead of requiring each person to buy and manage their own individual cover. Rather than coordinating 50 separate purchases before a trip, the group organiser enters everyone's details once, makes one payment, and receives one policy document that covers the whole group.

At Allianz, group travel insurance is available as either a Single Trip policy for one specific journey, or as an Annual Multi-Trip policy covering all trips below 90 days for 12 months. The plan benefits are identical to individual travel insurance at the same plan level. Every person on the group policy receives the same cover per person as someone buying an individual policy.

Both plans are available as either Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip policies. Every benefit listed below applies per insured person on the policy.

Group travel insurance is available to any collection of UAE resident travellers going abroad together on the same trip. There is no requirement for group members to be family members or to work for the same employer. Any group of up to 50 people sharing the same travel dates can be covered under one Single-Trip group policy.

Friends Travelling Together

A group of friends heading abroad on the same dates? One Single-Trip Group policy covers up to 50 travellers together, so there is one certificate and one payment for the whole group.

Corporate Groups and Teams

Multiple employees travelling together for a conference, retreat, or client event? Cover everyone on one Group policy, provided they all share the same departure and return dates.

Families and Extended Groups

If your group includes a mix of family members and friends all travelling together on the same trip, a Group policy covers up to 50 people under a single plan, regardless of their relationship to each other.

Group travel insurance has a small number of strict rules that are worth understanding clearly before you purchase, since the policy cannot be changed once it is issued.

Rules that apply to all group policies:

  • You cannot add or remove travellers once the policy is issued. Every group member must be listed before purchase is completed. If someone joins the group after the policy is bought, they cannot be added to the existing policy.
  • For Single-Trip group policies, all travellers must share the same departure and return dates. You cannot have some members departing on different dates under one Single-Trip policy.
  • For Annual Multi-Trip group policies, travellers can travel on different dates throughout the year and are not required to travel together.
  • You must enter the following for each traveller at the time of purchase: first name, last name, date of birth, and passport number. Have this information ready before you start the quote.
  • The maximum number of travellers on one policy is 50. If your group exceeds 50 people, you will need to purchase more than one policy to cover everyone.

The right group policy type depends on whether your group is travelling once or multiple times during the year.

One Policy for Up to 50 Travellers

$500,000 Medical Cover

Every person on the group policy receives their own individual medical cover. $500,000 cover means every group member is properly protected, not just partially.

Same Benefits as Individual Plans

Group Travel Insurance provides the same coverage as individual Single-Trip or Annual Multi-Trip policies. All members access full range of benefits, including trip cancellation, baggage, and personal liability.

24/7 Emergency Support

If any group member faces a medical emergency abroad, our 24/7 helpline at +971 4 270 8705 is available every hour of every day to assist.

Schengen Certificate

Planning a group trip to Europe? Your group policy includes an official Schengen-compliant certificate, issued instantly, valid for visa applications at any European embassy. At Allianz, all our covers are Schengen-compliant and exceed the min. €30,000 in medical cover.

Allianz group travel insurance is priced per person. The Standard plan starts from AED 76 per person and the Premium plan starts from AED 99 per person. For a group of 10 on the Standard plan, the total policy cost starts from AED 760 for the whole group. Your exact total depends on:

  • Your Group's travel destination
  • Trip duration in days - from 1 day up to 90 days
  • Number of travellers and their ages (coverage for travellers up to 85 yrs)
  • Choice of Standard (from AED 76) or Premium (from AED 99) plan

Use the quote tool at the top of this page. Enter your group size and ages to get an instant total price for the whole group for either a Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip policy in under a minute.

Step 1 - Enter Your Group Details

Select your trip type, destination, travel dates, and the total number of travellers. Enter the age of each person in the group. Have every member's first name, last name, date of birth, and passport number ready before you start, since these are required for all travellers.

Step 2 - Choose Your Plan

Compare our Standard and Premium plans. Review the medical expense limit, trip cancellation amount, and baggage cover for each plan. For groups travelling to high-cost medical destinations, the Premium plan at $500,000 per person is recommended.

Step 3 - Pay and Receive Your Certificate Instantly

Complete your secure online payment. One policy document covering all listed group members is emailed immediately. If your trip requires Schengen visa certificates, these are included and valid for all covered group members.

General Information

You can buy group travel insurance online through the quote tool on this page. Enter your trip details including destination, travel dates, the number of travellers, and the age of each person. You will also need to enter the first name, last name, date of birth, and passport number for each traveller at the time of purchase. Once you complete payment, your policy document covering all listed group members is emailed immediately.

The main benefit is convenience and simplicity. Instead of coordinating 10+ separate purchases, one group organiser handles the entire process: one quote, one payment, one policy document. From a coverage perspective, the benefits per person under a group policy are identical to those under an individual policy at the same plan level. For group organisers managing logistics for multiple travellers, having a single policy to reference and a single claims contact for any incident is significantly easier to manage.

For each traveller on the group policy, you will need to provide their first name, last name, date of birth, and passport number. This information is required at the time of purchase and cannot be updated after the policy is issued. Gather these details from every group member before you start your quote to avoid delays or incomplete information mid-purchase.

Coverage

Yes. Medical coverage is included for every traveller listed on the group policy. The limits per person are:

  • Standard plan: up to $250,000 in emergency medical expenses per person
  • Premium plan: up to $500,000 in emergency medical expenses per person

Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation are included within these medical limits. Each person on the policy has their own individual coverage up to these amounts, not a shared pool.

Yes. Trip cancellation is included in both plans and applies per person. If any insured group member needs to cancel their participation in the trip before it begins due to a covered reason such as illness, serious injury, accident, or bereavement of a close relative, the cancellation cover applies to that individual's non-refundable losses. The limits are:

  • Standard plan: up to $3,000 per person
  • Premium plan: up to $5,000 per person

Trip curtailment cover, which applies if a trip needs to be cut short mid-journey, is also included at the same limits.

Eligibility

Up to 50 travellers can be covered on a single Allianz group travel insurance policy. If your group has more than 50 members, you will need to purchase more than one policy to cover everyone. Each policy has its own set of travellers listed at the time of purchase, and travellers cannot be moved between policies after they are issued.

No. Once your group travel insurance policy is issued, the list of covered travellers is fixed. You cannot add new members, remove existing members, or substitute one traveller for another. It is essential to confirm every member of your group before purchasing. If someone joins or leaves the group after the policy is bought, a new separate policy would need to be purchased to cover any additional travellers.

It depends on the type of policy. For a Single Trip group policy, all listed travellers must share the same departure and return dates. For an Annual Multi-Trip group policy, this restriction does not apply. Under an annual group policy, different members can travel on different dates throughout the 12-month policy period, and they do not need to travel together. The annual option therefore provides more flexibility for groups where members might take individual trips in addition to the shared group trip.

Yes, through an Annual Multi-Trip group policy. Under the annual plan, all listed team members are covered for any trips they take individually below 90 days during the 12-month policy period, even if their travel dates differ. This makes it a practical option for corporate teams where individual employees travel at different times for meetings, conferences, or client visits. All team members must still be listed at the time of the original policy purchase.

Claims

Claims under a group policy are made individually by the affected traveller, not by the group organiser on behalf of the group. The affected group member should:

  1. Contact our 24/7 emergency line immediately for any medical emergencies: +971 4 270 8705
  2. For all other non-emergency reimbursement claims, you can file your claim through our online platform:   https://travelclaims.tatsh.cloud/. Gather all documentation: medical reports, hospital receipts, police reports (for theft or loss), flight delay certificates, and any other evidence supporting your claim
  3. Alternatively, you can also contact us via telephone on +971 4 270 8705, or send us an email on travel.claims@nextcarehealth.com.  We’re available from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday.
  4. A dedicated claims assessor will review your case and contact you for any additional information.

Each claimant submits their own claim independently. Having a copy of the shared group policy number makes it easier for each member to reference during the claims process.
